THE GIRL I WAS – Women’s Fiction/Dramedy

Getting acclimated to the early 2000’s, which has its ups (no Kardashians) and downs (no cellphones) is the easy part. Convincing Lexi that she’s from the future, co-existing with one another, and learning to get along is where things prove difficult. The two of them quickly find out that both want nothing more than for the other person to be out of their life. On their own, they are egotistical, stubborn, selfish, and headstrong. Combined, they are an absolute nightmare. Alexis struggles to coach her younger self into accepting that she is the one that needs to change and that she is the reason for their poor lives, while Lexi blames her loser older self-Alexis for their life and expects her to get it fixed before she arrives. Not until weeks have gone by can the two start to finally be friends with each other and really, themselves. But this friendship is razor thin in the beginning and one awful night of partying easily rips the two girls back apart as lies are uncovered and true intentions are wrecked.
